To be considered for membership in the McDonough Leadership Program at Marietta College, carefully complete the following three questions, taking time to be thoughtful in your answers.

The answer to each question should be between 150-200 words. The essays will be evaluated on content (depth of thought ,use of specific examples, additional source, etc.) and form (proper length, mechanics, usage, grammar, punctuation, and style.)

We will not consider applications that have one or two sentence answers.

How do you define "leadership"? Explain your answer.*

Describe one or two positions that you held in groups or organizations in your school or community in the last four years. Discuss how these positions helped shape you as a leader and give concrete examples of how you put your leadership into action.*
